V and A's Excellent Adventure

A few weeks ago we got a call from a gal who wanted to book 2 of our packages for a vacation with her mom. Sweet! She opted to go on a lobster boat cruise and take her mom to the Botanical Gardens. We talked about a couple of other things she wanted more info about and a week later they were here.

I love listening to guests talk over breakfast about what they did the day before. It's like a mini vacation everyday!

So, without further ado...V & A's Excellent (5 day) Adventure:

  • Freeport Chocolate Walking Tour (thru Maine Foodie Tours)
  • Portland Ghost Walk (thru Wicked Walking Tours)
  • Portland Foodie Tour (thru Maine Foodie Tours)
  • Cape Elizabeth Lighthouse
  • Lucky Catch Lobster Cruise (part of their package with us)
  • Bath Ghost Walk (thru Haunted History Tours)
  • Shopping (part of their package with us)
  • Sightseeing in Portland
  • Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens (part of the package)
  • Lenny the Chocolate Moose
  • Desert of Maine
  • LOTS of lobster!
These fun guests were the first ones up every morning for breakfast and they were rarin' to go! I love it when guests really enjoy their vacation and try lots of new things!

Bow Street Market

Here's a look at the new Bow Street Market! Grand Opening is June 10. Nice selection of local products like chocolate bars, cheese, meats, fish, ice cream and more. Great wine options, too.

Ben & Jerry's- The king is dead, long live the king.

Ben and Jerrys old store
The last of the old Ben & Jerry's being torn down to make way for a new park in front of LL Bean.

Just around the corner, next to the LL Bean Home Store:

And this little photo of the contractor who says he's responsible for the whole project, and just because he thought I was joking when I said he'd be in the blog...
