Birding in the Freeport, Maine Area

Armed with high-powered binoculars, trail mix, a life list and a penchant for expecting the unexpected, the Maine birder had a lot of ground to cover! There are shore birds, sea birds, woodlands birds, open meadow birds, transients, migratory birds and those odd birds, blown completely off course, that occasionally cause a stir in these parts. Gray Kingbird ring a bell?

Bob Duchesne from the Maine Birding Trail website and Guide Book recently sent me this personalized guide for guests at White Cedar Inn to use while birding in the greater Freeport area.

All 25 of the locations are within an hour's drive of the inn.

Bob has listed us as a 'Best Nest' so we hope you'll find us conveniently located for your birding expeditions.
